Elegant vintage stone house with high ceilings, on one level, with a small exclusive garden and a lovely veranda for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. The stone walls with its warm colours, chosen specially to recall the species of the existing flowers on the island, fill the environment with unique charm. The residence offers all the comforts of life in the village, with exclusivity and privacy. The residence structure organized in three sleeping areas, each one with private bathroom and air conditioning. The IRIS and INDACO rooms are double rooms with extra bed and TV, the CICLAMINO (quadruple) room consists of two connecting rooms, one double and one twin with bunk beds. They share the entrance, a wide corridor, a well-equipped kitchen, a beautiful garden and a lovely porch.
The booking method is flexible making it possible to rent the whole residence (minimum 4 maximum 10 guests) or each separate room (from 1 till 4 guests).

The residence

Casa Alexandra is an elegant house that offers a sunny and inviting atmosphere, with large windows, airy rooms and high ceilings. It is on one level, on the ground floor, and has a large kitchen, bright living room with air conditioning and comfortable sofa bed and bathroom with shower. It has also a spacious triple room with air conditioning and private bathroom and shower, and a quadruple room divided in two double rooms connected: one with a double bed and the other with two single beds (bunk bed) and bathroom with shower.
At the backyard there is a small functional laundry area. Outdoors, at the front, there is a nice porch furnished with table, chairs and an umbrella to organize enjoyable breakfasts, lunches and dinners and, to make the stay even more pleasant.

Guest Access

The house is on one level, on the ground floor, accessible by two small steps.
For those arriving by car, you can park for free throughout in front of the house or around the neighborhood.

A tour in the surroundings

Casa Alexandra is located just two steps from the historic centre, in one of the first residential areas of the country with independent houses. In Largo Giacomo Parodoyou can still breathe a great sense of friendliness: in the evenings, the neighbours gather in the courtyards, the children play quietly and the teenagers sit at the end of the street in the illuminated steps leading to one of the panoramic points of the village from where it is possible to enjoy a wonderful view of the Salt Natural Reserve and the colours of Carloforte. For those who love walking, following in the same direction, you reach in one of the highest spots of the island, Guardia Mori, a fort surrounded by greenery, made in 1850 to watch over the island.
A few steps from the residence there is the ambulatory, a well-stocked supermarket and the church of San Pietrothat marks the quiet and calm passing of time.
Just 50 meters away from the house is Via XX Settembre, an important street of the historic centre with colourful shops, local delicatessens, bakeries and stores of all kinds. From there you can arrive at the central square, the seashore pavement and the typical caruggi(alleys) from Carloforte, where is possible to find the best artisans, fishmongers and local producers. By walking or riding a bike it is easy to reach Piazza Pegli, where every Wednesday at the market-place you can buy fresh fish and local products.
In a short distance in the same direction you can visit the “salt road”, a very pleasant path for jogging or even a nice walk, surrounded by pink flamingos and other species living in the Saline Nature Reserve.
From Casa Alexandra is easy to reach by car, scooter or bike, all the beaches of thin white sand, cliffs and other well-preserved, untouched or unexplored places of the Island.
Access to bathing is free, parking on offer, kiosks for refreshment are present in almost every beach.

Rules of the residence

The Island of San Pietro is an uncontaminated paradise, respect for nature and the sustainability of resources are essential conditions for those who want to live it and appreciate the most of it.
Casedicarloforte asks for the observation of some simple rules during the stay:
1. Water on the island is precious and cannot be wasted, please moderate the use of it.
2. Respect the methods of separate waste collection (wet, plastic, glass / metals, paper / cardboard) and dispose them in the appropriate collection area, during the stay and before check-out, taking care to empty the waste bins, the fridge and the pantries.
3. In order to keep the plumbing structure working properly and avoid the use of polluting chemical products, it is important not to throw toilet paper in the toilet and prevent entering the residual waste of food, hair and sand, using the appropriate bin instead.
4. Smoking is not allowed in the residence and pets are not permitted.

In case of repair work, we point out that it is not always possible to ensure the immediate presence of our maintenance department, especially during the periods with more tourists. However, our staff will take care of it and find a timely solution that limits the inconvenience to minimum.
